Prime Rib with Italian Herbs, Roasted

Turn the temperature up to 450 degrees in the oven.

Mix together Italian seasoning, garlic, salt, and pepper in a small bowl.

To season the prime rib, rub the seasoning mixture all over the meat.

Put the prime rib in a roasting pan, and cook it at a high temperature for fifteen minutes.

Reduce the oven temperature to 325°F and continue roasting for 2-2.5 hours, or until the internal temperature reaches 135°F for medium-rare.

Before chopping the prime rib, let it rest for at least 15 to 20 minutes.
